ABS FAILURE WARNING LIGHT ON

The brake node sends the ABS warning light on message via the C-CAN to the Body Computer which makes it available via the gateway to the Instrument Panel Node through the B-CAN.

Check that the reconfigurable matrix display is not showing an ABS fault messageMove on to StepMessage presentMove on to Step
1CHECK USING DIAGNOSTIC EQUIPMENTALL OKPROBLEMS ENCOUNTEREDACTION

Connect the Examiner diagnostic equipment to the diagnostic connector and check the following at the CAN:

  • no control unit not activated;
  • that there are no faulty control units;
  • no control unit with faulty CAN line;
Move on to Step1. faults on CAN network1. Continue following the instructions for the diagnostic equipment
2. errors at Brake NodeMove on to Step
2CHECK USING DIAGNOSTIC EQUIPMENTALL OKPROBLEMS ENCOUNTEREDACTION

Keeping the Examiner diagnostic equipment connecte to the diagnostic connector, check the following at the brake node: in errors ambient

  • no system component errors
  • no warning light error/warning light damaged
Move on to Step1. system/components faulty1. Continue following the instructions for the diagnostic equipment
2. warning light faulty/warning light damagedMove on to Step

Keeping the Examiner diagnostic equipment connecte to the diagnostic connector, check the following at the brake node:in active diagnosis ambient

  • the operation of the ABS warning light
Move on to Stepwarning light does not flashMove on to Step
4CHECK USING DIAGNOSTIC EQUIPMENTALL OKPROBLEMS ENCOUNTEREDACTION

Keeping the Examiner diagnostic equipment connected to the diagnostic connector, check the following at the instrument panel node:in active diagnosis ambient

  • the operation of the ABS warning light
Move on to Stepwarning light does not flash

Replace instrument panel

5CHECK ON CORRECT OPERATIONALL OKPROBLEMS ENCOUNTEREDACTION
Check that the fault is no longer presentFault persistsReplace the electro-hydraulic unit
