INSTRUMENT LIGHTS NOT WORKING - DIMMER

With the ignition on and the side lights on, the instrument panel lights up, but when the lighting controls are operated it remains on constantly; the side lights work properly;

the dimmer control is directed to the "instrument panel node

STEP	OPERATIONS TO BE CARRIED OUT	TEST RESULTS

	Check that the lights can be dimmed at the nodes: driver's door node passenger door node steering wheel node roof node luggage compartment node CONNECT node climate control node	Move on to Step	The dimming cannot be carried out at all the nodes	Move on to Step
1	CHECK USING DIAGNOSTIC EQUIPMENT	ALL OK	PROBLEMS ENCOUNTERED	ACTION
	Connect the Examiner diagnostic equipment to the diagnostic connector and check the following at the CAN: no control unit not activated; that there are no faulty control units; no control unit with faulty CAN line;	Move on to Step	Presence of faults	Continue following the instructions in the diagnostic table

	Remove the C.L.E. exterior lights control panel and check that the dimmer switch is working properly Continue following the instructions in the test 5540AA Exterior lights control operational check (C.L.E.)	Move on to Step	Switches faulty	Replace the dimmer
