REAR BUMPER ARMATURE

Service repair no - 76.22.52

Remove

  1. Remove rear bumper valance. See this section.
Rear bumper armature – Remove rear bumper valance. See this section.
  1. Position luggage compartment carpet aside and remove 4 bolts securing bumper armature to body.
  2. Remove bumper armature.

Refit

  1. Align armature to body and tighten bolts to 22 Nm.
  2. Fit rear bumper valance. See this section.

FRONT BUMPER VALANCE

Service repair no - 76.22.72

Remove

  1. Raise front of vehicle.

WARNING: Support on safety stands.

  1. Remove both direction indicators. See ELECTRICAL, Repairs.
Front bumper valance – Remove both direction indicators. See ELECTRICAL, Repairs.
  1. Remove 2 screws securing each end of bumper valance to wheel arch liner.
  2. Remove screw securing each end of bumper valance to wings.
Front bumper valance – Remove screw securing each end of bumper valance to wings.
  1. Remove 5 screws securing bumper valance to bonnet lock panel.
  2. Working through direction indicator housings, remove 2 bolts securing bumper valance to bumper armature.
  3. Remove front bumper valance.
