The flow of fluid in the 1 – 2 and 2 – 3 shift valves is the same as in 1st speed. As the speed of the vehicle reaches a predetermined point, solenoid valve A is turned on by means of the transmission control module. As a result, the 1 – 2 shift valve moves to the left, uncovers the port leading to the 2nd clutch and 2nd clutch is applied.

Line pressure (4) is applied to the 1 – 2 shift valve and 2 – 3 shift valve.

2nd clutch pressure (20) is applied to the 2nd accumulator.

The hydraulic pressure also flows to the 1st clutch, however, no power is transmitted because the one – way clutch is disengaged.
