Removing

- Position the vehicle on a lift.

Op. 1048A10 AIR FILTER ASSEMBLY - R.R.

1. Undo the upper nuts fixing the heat shield to the exhaust manifold.

1. Undo the nuts (1a) and remove the exhaust manifold heat shield (1b).

Refitting

- Place the exhaust manifold heat shield back in its housing and secure it using the nuts.

- Remove the vehicle from the lift.

1.9 JTD 8v, 1.9 JTD 16v

Removing

Op. 1016A10 SOUND-PROOFING COVER - R.R

Op. 7055B54 UNDER ENGINE PROTECTION/GUARD - R.R.

1. Undo the lower bolts fixing the exhaust manifold heat shield.

1. Undo the upper fastenings (1a) and remove the exhaust manifold heat shield (1b) together with the lower one (1c).

Refitting

- Place the upper exhaust manifold heat shield back in its housing and tighten the fastenings.

- Position the vehicle on a lift.

Op. 1080B62 CATALYTIC CONVERTER - R + R

Op. 1088D50 ENGINE COOLANT OUTLET PIPE FROM TURBOCHARGER - R.R.

1. Undo the rear nut fixing the heat shield to the exhaust manifold.

1. Undo the nuts (1a) and remove the exhaust manifold heat shield (1b).

Refitting

- Place the exhaust manifold heat shield back in its housing and tighten the nuts.
