Removing

- For versions with DPF only:

- Position the vehicle on a lift.

Op. 1016A10 SOUND-PROOFING COVER - R.R

Op. 7055B54 UNDER ENGINE PROTECTION/GUARD - R.R.

Op. 1076B20 REAR EXHAUST SILENCER - R + R

Op. 1080B81 PARTICULATE FILTER (D.P.F.) - R.R.

Op. 1076B72 INTERMEDIATE EXHAUST PIPE WITH HOSE SECTION - R+R

1. Undo the bolts (1a) and the nuts (1b) and remove the catalytic converter mounting bracket (1c) together with the engine oil filter protection (1d).

Op. 1072C44 EXHAUST MANIFOLD HEAT SHIELD - R+R

1. Loosen the collar (1a) and remove catalytic converter (1b).

- For versions without DPF only:

- Position the vehicle on a lift.

Op. 1076B20 REAR EXHAUST SILENCER - R + R

1. Undo the nuts fixing the catalytic converter to the intermediate pipe with the flexible section.

2. Disconnect the centre exhaust pipe flexible mounting.

3. Undo the bolts fixing the catalytic converter mounting bracket to the bodyshell.

- Remove the catalytic converter complete with exhaust silencer and gasket.

Refitting

- For versions with DPF only:

- Place the catalytic converter in its housing and fasten it to the turbocharger, tightening the collar to the recommended torque.

Op. 1072C44 EXHAUST MANIFOLD HEAT SHIELD - R+R

- Place the catalytic converter mounting bracket in position together with the engine oil filter protection and tighten the nuts and bolts to the recommended torque.

Op. 1076B72 INTERMEDIATE EXHAUST PIPE WITH HOSE SECTION - R+R

Op. 1080B81 PARTICULATE FILTER (D.P.F.) - R.R.

Op. 1076B20 REAR EXHAUST SILENCER - R + R

Op. 7055B54 UNDER ENGINE PROTECTION/GUARD - R.R.

Op. 1016A10 SOUND-PROOFING COVER - R.R

- Remove the vehicle from the lift.

- For versions without DPF only:

- Place the catalytic converter complete with exhaust silencer in its housing with a new gasket and connect it to the flexible mounting.

-Tighten the nuts fixing the catalytic converter to the intermediate pipe with flexible section to the recommended torque.

- Tighten the bolts fixing the catalytic converter mounting bracket to the bodyshell.

Op. 1076B20 REAR EXHAUST SILENCER - R + R

- Remove the vehicle from the lift.

1.4 16v TJet

Removing

- Position the vehicle on a lift.

Op. 7055B54 UNDER ENGINE PROTECTION/GUARD - R.R.

1. Undo the bolts and remove the catalytic converter mounting bracket.

2. Undo the nuts fixing the catalytic converter to the exhaust pipe.

Op. 1016A10 SOUND-PROOFING COVER - R.R

Op. 1064A31 HEAT SHIELD FOR TURBOCHARGER - R.R.

Op. 1076A48 CATALYTIC CONVERTER HEAT SHIELD - R.R

1. Disconnect the electrical connection for the upper Lambda sensor.

2. Undo and remove the upper Lambda sensor.

3. Undo the nuts (3a) and remove the catalytic converter (3b).

- Keep the gaskets.

Refitting

- Place the catalytic converter in position compelte with new gaskets and tighten the nuts.

- Position the upper Lambda sensor and tighten it to the recommended torque.

- Connect the electrical connection for the upper Lambda sensor.

- Fit the catalytic converter mounting bracket in place and tighten the bolts to the recommended torque.
