REAR CREAKING

With the vehicle moving, particularly over rough ground or during acceleration or braking, noise can be heard from the rear of the passenger compartment

0	PRELIMINARY CHECKS	All OK	Problems encountered	Operation
		Test results
	Check that the noise is actually coming from the rear of the passenger compartment	Move on to Step 1	The noise is coming from one of the rear doors	Proceed as instructed See table S063 REAR DOORS CREAKING
1	REAR SEAT FASTENINGS CHECK	All OK	Problems encountered	Operation
	Check the correct fastening: - of the cushion to the body; - of the backrest to the luggage compartment bulkhead; - of the rear seat belt mountings to the body	Move on to Step 2	1. Seat fastenings not correct 2. Rear seat belt fastening not correct	1. Renew the correct fastening Op. 7050A14 SPLIT REAR SEAT ASSEMBLY - R+R 2. Renew the correct fastening Op. 7065B10 REAR SEAT BELT (ONE), LEFT OR RIGHT - R.R.
2	REAR PARCEL SHELF CHECK	All OK	Problems encountered	Operation
	Remove the rear parcel shelf and check: - For the presence of noise prevention rubber mountings on the rear parcel shelf rear hooks; - That the elements on the rear parcel shelf (e.g. speakers) are correctly fastened; - That the boot wiring coupling is correctly insulated	Move on to Step 3	1. Rubber mountings or insulation missing 2. Fastenings faulty	1. Renew the rubbing mountings and insulating material 2. Restore the correct fastening of the elements to the rear parcel shelf
3	REAR PILLAR COVER CHECK	All OK	Problems encountered	Operation
	Remove the pillar covers and check: - for the presence of the felt between the pillar cover and the pillar; - for the presence of the felt between the pillar cover and the rear parcel shelf	Move on to Step 5	Felt missing	Renew felt
4	SPLIT SEAT CHECK	All OK	Problems encountered	Operation
	Remove the seat and check that the welding for the backrest perimeter joining back is correct	End of diagnosis	Welding faulty	Replace the seat assembly Op. 7050A14 SPLIT REAR SEAT ASSEMBLY - R+R
