REAR NOISE (CREAKING/SQUEAKING/TICKING)

Whilst driving, especially on unmade roads, there is creaking coming from the rear suspension. This diagnosis can only be made after [DI_S015]. Carry out the latter first.

If the problem is only on one side, carry out the checks and any operations on the appropriate side only.

0PRELIMINARY CHECKSAll OKProblems encounteredOperation

After carrying out a road test during the diagnosis, a noise is heard from the rear identifiable as creaking/squeaking.

See table S015 NOISE WHILST DRIVING

Continue depending on the circumstances in which the noise occurs

End of diagnosis

1. The noise occurs especially on unmade roads uphill, during acceleration or braking

2. The noise also occurs on smooth, undulating roads.

1. Move on to Step 1

2. Move on to Step 2

1END OF TRAVEL BUFFER CHECKAll OKProblems encounteredOperation
Check that the end of travel buffer is correctly inserted in its housingMove on to Step 2
