5 CHECK BUSHES AND PADS Check intactness and correct fastening of bushes and pads in the following order:
-- wishbone articulated joints
-- shock absorber connection		 All OK
Go to Step 6		 Worn or damaged shock absorber arm supports
Damaged shock absorber connection		 Replace supports
PROCEDURE OP. 4420B34
6 CHECK BRAKE FASTENING Check correct position and fastening of brake pipes and handbrake wires to the underbody All OK
Go to Step 7		 Incorrectly fastened parts cause noise Tighten parts correctly. If required, replace damaged parts PROCEDURES 3330E, 3340B and 3380
7 CHECK TANK FASTENING Check correct position and fastening of tank fastening brackets to the underbody All OK
Go to Step 8		 Incorrectly fastened parts cause noise Tighten parts correctly.
If required, replace damaged parts PROCEDURE 1040A
8 CHECK EXHAUST PIPE FASTENING Check correct position and fastening of exhaust pipes to underbody All OK
Go to Step 9		 Incorrectly fastened parts cause noise Tighten parts correctly.
If required, replace damaged parts PROCEDURE 1076A
9 CHECK CORRECT OPERATION Check the fault is no longer present All OK
End of test		 Fault persists Seek fault starting from another symptom (noise was not correctly interpreted: see Glossary)
