| 5 | CHECK GEAR ENGAGEMENT POTENTIOMETER WIRING K92 Remove connector K92. Turn the key to MAR. Connect a digital multimeter (set to read Volt) as follows: – black probe to connector K92 pin 1 – red probe on connector K92 pin 3. ~ 5 V voltage should be read. |
Go to Step 6 | No voltage is read. The ECU is not powered. |

| Turn the key to STOP. Disconnect connectors K92 and M85. Connect a digital multimeter (set to read Ohm) between connector K92 pin 1 and connector M85 pin 11. ~ 0 should be read.Ω |
Perform the next check | If > 10 Ω is read, the connection between ECU and potentiometer internal resistance is uncertain. | Restore the connection between connector K92 pin 1 and connector M85 pin 11. (wiring diagram: E7040 "ELECTRONIC CLUTCH") |
