Removing

- 1016A40 ignition coil cover on cylinder head- r+r

1.6 16v, 1.8 16v, 1.9 JTD 8v

- 1016A10 sound-proofing cover - r + r

- 5530B56 BATTERY DRIP TRAY COVER - R.R.

- 5530B52 Battery DRIP TRAY/SUPPORT - R.R.

2.4 20v

- 1056B82 injection/ignition system e.c.u. (one) - r + r

- 1048A31 RIGID PIPE between air filter and intake manifold - R.R.

- 1056B14 throttle case - r + r

1. Unscrew nut (1a), loosen bolt (1b) and place the tank to one side.

1.9 JTD 8v

1. Disconnect the electrical connection of the water in diesel filter presence sensor (1a), unscrew bolts (1b), release the pipes from the retaining bands and place the diesel filter (1c) to one side.

- 3330C30 brake fluid reservoir - r + r and wash inside

- 3340A12 A'B.S. system. - electronic and hydraulic CONTROL UNIT R.R.

- 3340A13 abs central mount - r r

1. Undo clips (1a) to disconnect clip (1b) and disconnect brake servo rod (1c) from brake pedal (1d).

1. Undo the nuts securing the brake servo unit to the pedal assembly.

Withdraw the one-way valve from the brake servo assembly.

1. Remove the brake servo/brake pump unit.

Use the appropriate tool to remove the ABS pipes from the master cylinder.

All versions

Refitting

Fit the brake servo/brake pump assembly and tighten the retaining nuts on the pedal unit to torque.

Fi the one-way valve to the brake servo assembly.

Fit the detent to the brake servo rod.

Fit the brake servo rod to its seat on the brake pedal and secure with the detent.

Use the appropriate tool to tighten the ABS pipes to the master cylinder.

- 3330C30 brake fluid reservoir - r + r and wash inside

1.9 JTD 8v

Fit the diesel filter in its seat and tighten the retaining bolts to torque.

Connect the electrical connection to the fuel filter water presence sensor.

2.4 20v

Fit the Selespeed fluid tank in its seat and tighten the retaining nut and bolt.

- 1048A31 RIGID PIPE between air filter and intake manifold - R.R.

- 1056B82 injection/ignition system e.c.u. (one) - r + r

- 5530B52 Battery DRIP TRAY/SUPPORT - R.R.

- 5530B56 BATTERY DRIP TRAY COVER - R.R.

- 1016A10 sound-proofing cover - r + r

- 1016A40 ignition coil cover on cylinder head- r+r

- 0010T64 brake and or clutch fluid check level and top up as necessary

- 0010T65 hydraulic brake system bleed air
