ALARM OPERATIONAL DESCRIPTION
Operational Description
The alarm system is managed by the alarm control unit integrated in the body computer M001 and is supplied by the battery by the line protected by fuse F39 - pin 17 connector H - and the supply controlled by the ignition (INT) reaches pins 9 and 13 of the latter protected by fuse F37.
The body computer receives the signals from the receiver aerial P093 at pins 21 and 31 of connector B.
The bonnet lid is controlled by switch I010 which is connected to pin 24 connector B of M001, whilst the signals coming from the boot are sent via the B-CAN from the luggage compartment control unit M063.
See E2520 GLOVE COMPARTMENT LIGHT - LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT LIGHT - SUN VISOR LIGHT
The siren P090 receives a supply from the body computer M001, from pin 34 connector B and is connected with the dedicated serial line at pin 25.
The roof control unit M062 incorporates the tilt sensor which is managed via the serial line by the body computer M001 at pin 7 connector F.
The instrument panel E050 acquires the signals via the B-CAN for the state of the alarm system and activtes the signalling of the bonnet open message on the display; this function is only enabled with the ignition switched on (INT) to allow the activation of the alarm.
Whilst at pins 8 and 16 connector it receives signals of the driver''s front door open and the driver''s rear door open, respectively.
The front passenger door open and the rear passenger door open signals reach pins 25 and 26 connector G, respectively Wiring diagram E3040 CENTRAL LOCKING.
These signals are also used for the timed operation of the courtesy lights
The latter sends the boot opening negative signal from the no. plate lights unit and boot opening outer switch F055 to pin 26 connector F for switching on the boot light.
The instrument panel manages the warning lights for the direction indicators and the buzzer after the alarm system is switched on.
Operational Description
The negative activation signal for the side lights arrives from the outside lights control unit H092 via pin 4 of connector A at the body computer M001 pin 28 connector C when switched to POS.
Once the activation signal is received, the body computer M001 manages the operating logic for the front and rear side lights and the no. plate light.
The latter also receive a direct supply from the luggage compartment junction unit B045 because they are equipped with a control unit which controls the voltage/current for working at operating temperature.
The "side lights on" warning light inside instrument E050 is supplied simultaneously. The display shows the failure of the side lights and the possible activation and duration of the follow-me-home function with the signals transmitted from the body computer M001 via the B-CAN lines.
It is possible to set the follow-me-home function using the info-telematic control unit M065. This signal is transmitted from the B-CAN lines A and B to pins 1 and 3 of connector A. The control unit is supplied by the line protected by fuse F39 inside the junction unit under the dashboard B002.
The instrument panel receives a supply controlled by the ignition and a direct supply. These lines are protected by fuses F37 and F53 of the junction unit under the dashboard B002, respectively. Pins 8 and 9 of connector E of the body computer are earthed.
The no. plate lights unit F050 and F051 receive the implementation ignal from pin 9 of connector F and pin 38 of connector G, respectively of the body computer M001.
The control unit inside the left rear light cluster F031 communicates with the one in the right rear light cluster F030 at pins 7 and 8, respectively and transmits any failure signal to the body computer M001 at pin 6 of connector A.
The front light clusters F010 and F011 receive the implementation signal from pins 40 and 30 of connector B, respectively; for the rear light clusters F030 and F031 it comes from pins 5 and 6 of connector F of the body computer M001.
The body computer M001 receives a supply controlled by the ignition and a direct supply at pins 11 of connector H and pin A of connector B, respectively for the junction unit under the dashboard B002.
