Boot lid - assembly (page 2 of 2)

5. Remove private lock access cover from boot lid.
6. Release private lock multiplug clip and disconnect multiplug.

7. Release electrical harness from 3 clips on boot lid and 4 clips on RH hinge.
8. Withdraw harness from boot lid.

9. With assistance remove 4 bolts securing boot lid to hinges, and remove boot lid.

Refit

1. With assistance fit boot lid to hinges.
2. Fit bolts securing boot lid to hinges, but do not tighten.
3. Tie draw string to number plate lamp connectors on harness.
4. Feed draw string through boot lid and pull harness into position.
5. Secure harness with clips to boot lid and hinge.
6. Fit both number plate lamps. See ELECTRICAL, Repairs.
7. Connect private lock multiplug and clip multiplug to boot lid.
8. Fit private lock access cover.
9. Tie draw string to boot lid release cable.
10. Feed draw string into boot lid and pull release cable into position.
11. Secure release cable to clips on boot lid hinge.
