  1. Remove fusebox cover and fuse cover plate.
  2. Remove screw, battery lead to fusebox and release lead. Refit screw.
  3. Remove starter motor see ELECTRICAL – Repairs.

  1. Remove bolt, engine earth lead to bonnet lock platform.

  1. Position absorbent cloth around sealing bolt. Slacken bolt to relieve fuel pressure. Retighten bolt to 12 Nm.
  2. Unscrew banjo bolt, disconnect fuel outlet pipe from filter and collect 2 sealing washers.

CAUTION: Plug the connections.

  1. Remove distributor see ENGINE MANAGEMENT SYSTEM – PGM – Fi – Repairs.

  1. Slacken throttle cable lock nut.
  2. Disconnect throttle cable from bracket and throttle linkage.

  1. Release throttle cable from 3 retaining clips.
