Preliminary Procedures

1. Using a scan tool, check for DTCs.
2. Remove the front bumper fascia. Refer to . Front Bumper Fascia Replacement
3. Remove the headlamp. Refer to . Headlamp Replacement
4. Remove battery tray. Refer to . Battery Tray Replacement
5. Remove front compartment fuse block. Refer to . Front Compartment Fuse Block Replacement
6. Remove plenum water deflector- left side. Refer to . Plenum Water Deflector Replacement - Left Side
7. Remove the font wheelhouse liner. Refer to . Front Wheelhouse Liner Replacement

Headlamp Wiring Harness

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution .

Procedure

1. Headlamp wiring harness ground nut
2. Unclip wiring harness.
3. Create a work area large enough to lay out the new and old wiring harness.
4. Use care when removing inaccessible harness retainers. Replacement retainers may not be available.
5. Compare the new and old wiring harnesses for the same part number, the same number of wiring harness connectors, the same pin settings, and the same harness retainers.
6. Follow a logical order of steps during the replacement to ensure proper installation of the harness.
