Seat belt with pretensioner

1. Undo the two rear bolts fixing the guides to the floor.

• Move the seat until it is in the rear end of travel position.
• Disconnect the battery.
  1. Undo the two front bolts fixing the guides to the floor.
  2. Raise the seat slightly and disconnect the electrical connections for the pretensioner, the movement supply motors and the seat heaters.
  3. Remove the seat.

Keep the seat cover clean and avoid damaging it.

Proceed with refitting the seat, reversing the order of the operations carried out for the removal.

REMOVING / REFITTING

Before working on this device, follow the SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS illustrated in Group 55 - "Electrical Equipment Fault Diagnosis" - "Air Bag and Pretensioners" Section very closely. In particular, disconnect both battery terminals, insulate them carefully and wait for 10 minutes before working.

• Remove the seat (see specific paragraph).
  1. Cut the wiring retaining band.
  2. Undo the bolt fixing the seat belt.
  3. Recover the element complete with pretensioner.

Both when removing and refitting, avoid the use of pneumatic tools and definitely avoid any impacts to the pretensioner.

Proceed with refitting the pretensioner, reversing the order of the operations carried out for the removal.
