ELECTRIC FRONT SEATS

DESCRIPTION

The GTV version may be fitted with electrically operated seats.

Four electric motors, matched to reduction units, allow the following movements of the seat:

• lengthwise movement,
• height adjustment,
• front rocker,
• rear rocker,
• backrest angle.

The controls are located at the side of the seat and are easy to operate.

The folding over of the backrest and the adjustment of the rigidity of the lumbar area still have a manual control.

The seat may be equipped with a heating system, consisting of two heater pads, located in the cushion and the backrest, and a control switch.

REMOVING/REFITTING

The seat belt pretensioner is fitted on the seat.

Before removing the seat, follow the SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS in Group 55 - "Electrical Equipment Fault Diagnosis" - "Air Bag and Pretensioners" Section very closely. In particular, disconnect both battery terminals, insulate them carefully and wait for 10 minutes before working.

• Lift the seat until it is in the upper end of travel position.
• Move the seat until it is in the front end of travel position.

Note: If it is not possible to move the seat using the motor, following a failure, remove the seat by detaching it from the guides (See "SEAT GUIDES WITH ELECTRICAL MOVEMENTS, Removing - Refitting" procedure).
