POOR RADIO RECEPTION

1.2 8v, 1.3 Multijet, 1.4 16v · Blue&Me

When the relevant control is operated, the radio comes on but it cannot be heard properly or crackles, radio station reception is disturbed

1	CHECK ON AMPLIFIED AERIAL WITH CONVERGENCE	All OK	Problems encountered	Operation
		Test results
	Check the following, in order: the aerial coaxial lead continuity the power supply to the aerial amplifier and amplifier Correct aerial impedence See E3510 RADIO	Move on to Step 2	1. Amplifier aerial power supply cables faulty 2. Aerial amplifier faulty 3. Aerial faulty	1. Repair or replace supply ead 2. Replace the aerial amplifier 3. Repair or replace aerial Op. 5570T27 AERIAL SUPPORT - R.R
2	RECEPTION AREA CHECK	All OK	Problems encountered	Operation
	Check that the fault is not present in areas of poor reception. The reception should improve significantly when the vehicle moves away from such areas. If the reception area is very poorly served, attempts to switch between frequencies may be perceived as pauses	Move on to Step 3	Area with poor reception	Move to an area with the radio reception is good and try FM and non-FM stations.
3	RADIO SUPPLY CHECK	All OK	Problems encountered	Operation
	Check that the power supply for the radio is correct by carrying out the Op. 5570TA CHECK ON OPERATION OF CAR RADIO SYSTEM	Move on to Step 4	Supply not correct	Restore correct power supply.
4	CHECK SPEAKER OPERATION	All OK	Problems encountered	Operation
	Check that the connection between the radio and the speakers is correct See E3510 RADIO	Move on to Step 5	1. Discontinuity in the speaker connections 2. Front speakers defective 3. Rear speaker defective	1. Restore the correct connections. 2. Replace the front speakers Op. 5570T90 FRONT SPEAKER (ONE), LEFT OR RIGHT - R.R 3. Replace the rear speakers Op. 5570T98 REAR SPEAKER (ONE) LEFT OR RIGHT - R.R.
