Operation 1088B10 · ENGINE COOLING RADIATOR

1.4 16v

Removing

- Position the vehicle on a lift.

Op. 0010T20 ENGINE COOLANT - CHANGE

1. Loosen the band and disconnect the degassing pipe from the tank.

2. Loosen the band and disconnect the system supply pipe.

3. Undo the nuts (3a) and remove the engine coolant supply reservoir (3b).

Refitting

- Fit the engine coolant supply reservoir in place and secure it using the bolts.

- Connect the supply pipe to the tank.

- Connect the degassing pipe to the tank.

Op. 0010T20 ENGINE COOLANT - CHANGE

- Remove the vehicle from the lift.

1.9 JTD 8v, 1.9 JTD 16v

Removing

Op. 0010T20 ENGINE COOLANT - CHANGE

1. Disconnect the rapid connector from the fuel return pipe, fuel filter side, open the retaining clip and move it to one side.

2. Loosen the band and disconnect the degassing pipe from the thermostat.

3. Undo the bolts fixing the reservoir to the body.

4. Release the reservoir from the flexible mounting as necessary to loosen the band and disconnect the system supply pipe.

5. Remove the reservoir.

Refitting

- Connect the system supply pipe to the reservoir and tighten the band.

- Fit the reservoir in its housing and secure it using the bolts.

- Connect the degassing pipe to the reservoir and tighten the band.

- Refit the fuel return pipe, connect it to the fuel filter using the rapid connector and close the retaining clip.

Op. 0010T20 ENGINE COOLANT - CHANGE

1.4 16v TJet

Removing

- Position the vehicle on a lift.

Op. 7055B54 UNDER ENGINE PROTECTION/GUARD - R.R.

Op. 0010T20 ENGINE COOLANT - CHANGE

1. Loosen the band and disconnect the degassing pipe from the tank.

2. Loosen the band and disconnect the system supply pipe.

3. Undo nuts (3a) and remove engine coolant supply reservoir (3b).

Refitting

- Fit the engine coolant supply reservoir in place and secure it using the bolts.

- Connect the supply pipe to the tank.

- Connect the degassing pipe to the tank.

- Remove the vehicle from the lift.
