Refitting

2. Take out the pressure-inserted bulb from the bulb holder.

Refitting

• Insert the new bulb in the bulb holder.
• Refit the switch control group.

Insert the switch control group from the upper part to hook the securing fins.

• Tighten the switch control group fastening screws.
• Insert the air fan knob.
• Connect the negative (-) battery terminal

• Close the engine compartment.

Observe the prescribed safety precautions. (See GROUP 50 - WARNINGS).

Removal

• Carry out Op. 5530B10 BATTERY - R.R.
• Carry out Op. 5040A10 Air conditioner cooling CIRCUIT - Dehydrating and Recharging.
• Carry out Op. 1048A10 COMPLETE AIR CLEANER - R.R.
• Carry out Op. 5050B38 FRONT WINDSCREEN WIPER unit - R.R. or repair.
• Carry out Op. 5040C10 Air conditioner BOX - R.R.

Close the disconnected air conditioner cooling circuit pipe fittings with sealing plugs to prevent moisture and impurities entering the system.

• Remove the air intake/recirculation flap control from the air conditioner controls support (see Op. 5040D11 Air conditioner controls SUPPORT - R.R. or replace with instrument dashboard removed).
• Remove the air intake/recirculation flap control from the air conditioner box (see Op. 5040C24 Air conditioner BOX - Disassembly and Re-assembly at the bench).

Only leave the air conditioner cooling circuit components disconnected for the time strictly necessary to carry out the intervention.

Refitting

At every disassembly replace the O-Rings of the pipe fittings. Only use green O-Rings, compatible with the coolant R134a. Lubricate the fitting threads with anti-freeze oil.

• Assemble the air intake/recirculation flap control on the air conditioner box (see Op. 5040C24 Air conditioner BOX - Disassembly and Re-assembly at the bench).
• Assemble the air intake/recirculation flap control on the air conditioner controls support (see Op. 5040D11 Air conditioner controls SUPPORT - R.R. or replace with instrument dashboard removed).

Note: After connecting the air intake/recirculation flap control cable, check that when the knob is at the end of stroke the flaps shut off the air passage completely.

• Complete with Op. 5040C10 Air conditioner BOX - R.R.
• Complete with Op. 5050B38 FRONT WINDSCREEN WIPER unit- R.R. or repair.
• Complete with Op. 1048A10 COMPLETE AIR CLEANER - R+R.
• Complete with Op. 5040A10 Air conditioner cooling CIRCUIT - Dehydration and Recharging.
• Complete with Op. 5530B10 BATTERY - R.R.

5040D38 - AIR DISTRIBUTION FLAP CONTROL - R.R. WITH CONTROLS SUPPORT REMOVED

Removal

• Remove the air distribution control from the air conditioner box (see Op. 5040C24 Air conditioner BOX - Disassembly and Reassembly at the bench).
