Refitting

(Cont.d Op. 5040B14)

• Follow Op. 1048A28 Vacuum air circuit RE-SOUNDING DEVICE - R+R.

1. Disconnect the 3-level pressure switch electrical connections

2. Unscrew the 3-level pressure switch and remove it from the pipe of the dehydration filter/expansion valve.

Refitting

• Tighten the 3-level pressure switch on the pipe of the dehydration filter/expansion valve to correct torque

• Connect the 3-level pressure switch electrical connection

• Complete with Op. 1048A28 Vacuum air circuit RESOUNDING DEVICE - R+R.
• Connect the negative (-) battery terminal

• Remove the body protection cover.
• Close the engine compartment.

5040B30 - EXPANSION VALVE (ORIFICE TUBE) - R.R.

Observe the prescribed safety precautions.(See GROUP 50 - WARNINGS).

Removal

• Open the engine compartment.
• Assemble the body protection covers.
• Disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal.

• Carry out Op. 5040A10 Air conditioner cooling CIRCUIT - Dehydration and Recharging.

1. Unscrew the nut and remove the pipe of the expansion valve/compressor.
2. Unscrew the nut and remove the pipe of the dehydration filter/expansion valve.
3. Unscrew the fastening screws and move the heater pipes support.
4. Unscrew screws (4a)and remove plate (4b) with the expansion valve (4c).

Close the disconnected pipe fitting with sealing plugs to prevent moisture and impurities entering the system.

Only leave the air conditioner cooling circuit components disconnected for the time strictly necessary to carry out the intervention.

Refitting

At every disassembly replace the O-Rings of the pipe fittings. Only use green O-Rings, compatible with the coolant R134a. Lubricate the fitting threads with anti-freeze oil.
