Refitting

1. Unscrew the radiator cock fastening screws and remove together with the gaskets.

Refitting

• Assemble the cock with the gaskets on the radiator and fasten with the screws .
• Complete with Op. 5040C54 Air conditioner HEATER RADIATOR - R.R. with air conditioner box removed.
• Complete with Op. 5040C10 Air conditioner BOX - R.R.

5040C64 - AIR CONDITIONER EVAPORATOR - R.R.

Observe the prescribed safety precautions. (See GROUP 50 - WARNINGS).

Removal

• Carry out Op. 5530B10 BATTERY- R.R.
• Carry out Op. 5040A10 Air conditioner cooling CIRCUIT - Dehydrating and Recharging.
• Carry out Op. 1048A10 COMPLETE AIR CLEANER - R.R.
• Carry out Op. 5050B38 FRONT WINDSCREEN WIPER Unit - R.R. or repair.
• Carry out Op. 5040C10 Air conditioner BOX - R.R.

Close the disconnected air conditioner cooling circuit pipe fittings with sealing plugs to prevent moisture and impurities entering the system.

• Carry out Op. 5040C54 Air conditioner HEATER RADIATOR - R.R. with air conditioner box removed.
• Carry out Op. 5040C66 Air conditioner EVAPORATOR - R.R. with air conditioner box removed.

Only leave the air conditioner cooling circuit components disconnected for the time strictly necessary to carry out the intervention.

Refitting

At every disassembly replace the O-Rings of the pipe fittings. Only use green O-Rings, compatible with the coolant R134a. Lubricate the fitting threads with anti-freeze oil.

• Complete with Op. 5040C54 Air conditioner HEATER RADIATOR - R.R. with air conditioner box removed.
• Complete with Op. 5040C10 Air conditioner BOX - R.R.
• Complete with Op. 5050B38 FRONT WINDSCREEN WIPER unit- R.R. or repair.
• Complete with Op. 1048A10 COMPLETE AIR CLEANER - R+R.
• Complete with Op. 5040A10 Air conditioner cooling CIRCUIT - Dehydration and Recharging.
• Complete with Op. 5530B10 BATTERY - R.R.

5040C66 - AIR CONDITIONER EVAPORATOR - R.R. WITH AIR CONDITIONER BOX REMOVED

Removal

• Remove the heater radiator with the cock (see Op. 5040C54 Air conditioner HEATER RADIATOR - R.R. with air conditioner box removed).

1. Unscrew the fastening screws and remove the air conditioner evaporator cover.
2. Take out the frost sensor and take out the evaporator (2a)from the air conditioner box together with the expansion valve (2b).
