Refitting

Check the wiring is not damaged and that the single wires are correctly anchored to the connections.
Check whether the connections are fitted with secondary locks.
If required, perform the suitable continuity tests.

• Reposition the airbag system wiring harness and fasten it with clips.

NOTE To identify electric connections, see wiring diagrams.

• Reconnect the airbag connection.
• Reconnect the airbag system earth ring.
• Reconnect the airbag ECU electric connection and close the iron lever.
• Complete op. 7040A26 - Steering column panel R.R.
• Complete op. 5580C12 - Airbag system clock contact R.R.
• Complete op. 4110A11 - Steering wheel R.R. for replacement or checks (versions with airbag)
• Complete op. 5580C18 - Airbag module - R.R.
• Reconnect the Airbag diagnostic electric connection.
• Complete op. 5580C22 - Airbag module (Passenger side) R.R.
• Reconnect the passenger side disable switch electric connection.
• After refitting, check airbag system operation with the specific diagnostic tools.
• Test operation of the other components involved.
