Removing

Check if any of the connected parts are deformed by checking body alignment dimensions. Use appropriate measurement tools (reference rigs, templates or gauges).

If necessary, straighten the body before cutting the part.

1. Undo the fixing bolts (1a) and remove the tailgate (1b).

1. Using a chamfering machine and drill in the less accessible areas, reduce the spot welds.

2. Remove the roof panel.

Refitting

1. Along the perimeter of the sun roof panel:

using a chamfering machine, reduce the spot welds.

Remove the metal offcuts using a hammer and chisel.

Straighten the edges.

Use a grinding wheel to remove the spot weld residues.

Apply electro-galvanizing paint to the areas which have been ground.

Refitting

1. Along the perimeter of the sun roof panel:

using a chamfering machine, reduce the spot welds.

Remove the metal offcuts using a hammer and chisel.

Straighten the edges.

Use a grinding wheel to remove the spot weld residues.

Apply electro-galvanizing paint to the areas which have been ground.

1. Correctly position the replacement part (1a) on the bodyshell and secure it using self-locking clamps (1b).

Check the parts are properly aligned.

1. Position the replacement part correctly on the bodyshell and secure it using the self-locking clamps.

Check the parts are properly aligned.

2. Use a spot welder to weld the areas shown in the figure.

3. Solder near the areas where the roof is joined to the front and rear pillars.

1. Use a spot welder to weld the areas shown in the figure.

Check the welded parts are correctly positioned.

Level the spot welds using a disc grinder.

Use a rotary brush to clean the inner parts.

Apply electro-galvanizing paint to the areas which have been ground.

Fit the tailgate.

Tighten the fixing bolts without torque tightening them.

Adjust the tailgate as described in the operation:

- 7015A14 tailgate - adjust centring and profile - includes hinge and compartment seal adaptation.

S.W.

Check the welded parts are correctly positioned.

Level the spot welds using a disc grinder.

Use a rotary brush to clean the inner parts.

Apply electro-galvanizing paint to the areas which have been ground.

Fit the tailgate.

Tighten the fixing bolts without torque tightening them.
