Front door assembly

FRONT DOOR ASSEMBLY

Service repair no - 76.28.01/99

Remove

1. Remove roll pin from door check stay.
2. Release rubber cover and disconnect door harness multiplug.
3. Remove door hinge pin clips.
4. Using assistance, remove hinge pins and door.

Refit

1. Apply grease to door hinges.
2. With assistance, position door to hinges and fit hinge pins.
3. Fit hinge pin clips.
4. Connect door harness multiplug, secure multiplug cover.
5. Align door check stay and fit roll pin.

FRONT DOOR HINGE - PAIR

Remove

1. Remove front door assembly. See this section.
2. Using marker pen, mark position of hinges on body panel.
3. Remove 2 bolts securing each hinge to body.
4. Remove 2 hinges.
5. Remove 2 bolts securing each hinge to door.
6. Remove 2 hinges.

Refit

1. New hinges: Remove ’E’ clips, drive out each hinge pin and separate hinges.
2. Position hinges on door, tighten bolts to 22 Nm.
3. Position hinges on body, carefully align to outline and tighten bolts.

NOTE: Tighten bolts to allow door alignment to be checked.

4. Fit front door assembly. See this section.
5. Check door alignment, adjust at hinges. Tighten hinge to door bolts to 22 Nm and hinge to body bolts to 30 Nm
