Remove

  1. Remove sun roof wind deflector (if fitted), see Sun roof wind deflector.
  2. Remove sun roof lid, see Sun roof lid.
  3. Remove culisse.

Note: Ensure vehicle body work and headlining are fully protected.

  1. Draw cable block forward and remove through slide rail cut out. Hang cable block over side of vehicle.

Do not carry out further dismantling if component is removed for access only

  1. Manual sun roof: Remove sun roof drive gear, see Sun roof drive gear and handle.
    Electric sun roof: Remove sun roof motor, see Sun roof motor.

  1. Remove cables from the slide rail channel.

Refit

  1. Feed cable and block assembly into slide rail channel.
  2. Push cable assembly back into tray until cable block reaches cut away in slide rail.
  3. Insert cable block into channel, draw block and cable assembly backward.
  4. Fit culisse.

  1. Align guide cable to culisse using sun roof alignment tools, Part No. EFX 10004.
  2. Manual sun roof: Fit sun roof drive gear, see Sun roof drive gear and handle.
    Electric sun roof: Fit sun roof motor, see Sun roof motor.
  3. Fit sun roof lid, see Sun roof lid.
  4. Fit sun roof wind deflector (if fitted), see Sun roof wind deflector.
