DIS-ASSEMBLY

  1. Slacken the seven screws fastening the air duct unit.
  2. Remove the air duct unit.
  3. Slacken the four screws fastening the passenger's Air Bag compartment.
  4. Remove the passenger's Air Bag compartment.

INSTRUMENT CLUSTER HOOD

REMOVAL / REFITTING (to '97 versions)

  1. Slacken the five nuts fastening the instrument cluster hood. To gain better access, insert a suitable thickness between the air duct and the dashboard frame.
  2. Remove the hood.

REMOVAL/REFITTING ('98 versions)

  • Remove the dashboard and the respective air duct (see specific paragraph).
  1. Lift the adhesive cover.
  2. Loosen the flap fastening nuts.
  3. Remove the flap.

Refit the flap by reversing the removal sequence.
