REMOVAL / REFITTING (to '97 versions)

  • Remove the centre console (see specific paragraph).
  • Remove the Steering wheel and Half covers (see Group 41).
  • Remove the Lever control unit (see Group 55).
  • Remove the Dashboard Trim Panel (cars without passenger's Air Bag - see specific paragraph).
  • Remove the Air Bag device, if installed, (see GROUP 55).
  • To facilitate operations it is advisable to remove the seats (see specific paragraph).
  1. Using tool 1.823.014.000, prise and remove the two trim panels of the switch panel.
  2. Disconnect the electrical connections.
  3. Slacken the two instrument panel fastening screws.
  4. Remove the instrument panel.
  5. Disconnect the electrical connections.

  1. Using tool N°1.823.025.000 turn the three bayonet pins fastening the fusebox cover.
  2. Remove the fusebox cover.

  1. Slacken the screws and lower the dashboard lower cover.
  2. Disconnect the roof lamp electrical connection.
  3. Remove the cover.

  1. Using tool N° 1.823.015.000 remove the pins fastening the two pillar trims.
  2. Remove the two pillar trims.
