Removing

- Disconnect the negative battery terminal.

Op. 1048A23 COLD AIR INTAKE FOR AIR FILTER - R.R

Op. 1048A10 AIR FILTER ASSEMBLY - R.R.

Op. 1080B94 FRONT LAMBDA SENSOR TO WITH CATALYTIC CONVERTER - R.R

1. Undo bolts (1a), nuts (1b) and remove heat shield (1c).

Refitting

1. Place the heat shield in position.

2. Tighten the retaining bolts to the recommended torque.

3. Tighten the nuts to the recommended torque.

- Connect the negative battery terminal.

1.4 16v

Removing

1. Undo the fixing nuts (1a) and remove the engine mounting bracket (1b).

2. Undo the fixing nuts on the exhaust manifold.

3. Undo the catalytic converter retaining nuts.

4. Undo the fixing bolts (4a) and remove the heat shield (4b) from its seat.

Refitting

1. Place the heat partition (1a) in position and tighten the fixing bolts (1b) to the recommended torque.

2. Tighten the nuts fixing the catalytic preconverter to the recommended torque.

3. Tighten the nuts fixing the exhaust manifold to the recommended torque.

4. Reposition the engine mounting bracket (1a) and tighten the fixing nuts (4b) to the recommended torque.

1.3 Multijet

Removing

- Disconnect the negative battery terminal.

1. Undo the fixing bolts (1a) and the nut (1b) and remove the engine oil filter guard (1c).

2. Undo the fixing nut (2a) and remove the power unit mounting bracket (2b).

3. Disconnect the connections for the heater plugs.

4. Undo the fixing nuts (4a) and remove the heat shield (4b) for the exhaust manifold.

Refitting

1. Fit the heat shield (1a) in position and tighten the fixing nuts (1b).

2. Connect the connections for the heater plugs.

3. Fit the power unit mounting bracket (3a) and tighten the fixing bolt (3b).

4. Fit the engine oil filter guard (4a) in place and tighten the fixing bolts (4b) and nut (4c).

- Connect the negative battery terminal.
