1. Undo the timing driven pulley fixing bolt.

Mark the installation position of the exhaust side camshaft toothed drive pulley and the toothed drive pulley; if the pulleys are replaced, fit them with the writing facing outwards.

2. Remove the timing chain (2a) together with the camshaft driven pulley (2b) and the toothed drive pulley (2c).

- Use a suitable tool (e.g. vice) to set the chain tensioner and hold it fully back with a retaining pin.

Refitting

- Refit the timing chain together with the timing driven pulley and the toothed drive pulley.

- Tighten the timing driven pulley bolt to the specified torque.

- Remove the pin from the mobile tensioner and check that the mobile tensioner piston is in contact with the pad.
