Operation 1088B10 · ENGINE COOLING RADIATOR

Removing

- 1016A10 sound-proofing cover - r + r

1. Disconnect the return pipe from the engine coolant tank.

2. Undo the bolts and remove the engine coolant reservoir aside.

3. Disconnect the supply pipe from the reservoir.

Recover the coolant which comes out.

4. Remove the engine coolant reservoir.

Removing

Place the car on a ramp.

- 7055B54 under-engine guard - r r

Position a suitable container for recovering the coolant fluid.

1. Open collars (1a) and disconnect engine coolant pipes (1b).

Collect the coolant in the container.

2. Unscrew the retaining bolts.

3. Remove the supply reservoir, collect residual water in a special tank.

2.4 20v

Removing

Place the car on a ramp.

Position a suitable container for recovering the coolant fluid.

1. Open collars (1a) and disconnect engine coolant pipes (1b).

Collect the coolant in the container.

2. Unscrew the retaining bolts.

3. Remove the supply reservoir, collect residual water in a special tank.

Removing

Place the car on a ramp.

- 7055B54 under-engine guard - r r

Position a suitable container for recovering the coolant fluid.

1. Open collars (1a) and disconnect engine coolant pipes (1b).

Collect the coolant in the container.

2. Unscrew the retaining bolts

3. Remove the supply reservoir, collect residual water in a special tank.

Removing

Place the car on a ramp.

Position a suitable container for recovering the coolant fluid.

1. Open collars (1a) and disconnect engine coolant pipes (1b).

Collect the coolant in the container.

2. Undo the retaining bolts.

3. Remove the supply reservoir, collect residual water in a special tank.

1.6 16v

Refitting

Connect the system supply pipe to the engine coolant tank.

Refit the coolant reservoir in its seating and secure with its bolts to the specified torque.

Connect the return pipe to the engine coolant tank.

Top up the engine cooling system with specified coolant.

1.8 16v

Refitting

Check the condition of the supply reservoir.

Fit the supply reservoir and tighten the bolts.

Connect both pipes using new collars.

- 0010T21 coolant check density and top up if necessary

Remove the vehicle from the ramp.

2.4 20v

Refitting

Check the condition of the supply reservoir.

Fit the supply reservoir and tighten the bolts.

Connect both pipes using new collars.

- 7055B54 under-engine guard - r r

- 0010T21 coolant check density and top up if necessary

Remove the vehicle from the ramp.

Refitting

Check the condition of the supply reservoir.

Fit the supply reservoir and tighten the bolts.

Connect both pipes using new collars.

- 0010T21 coolant check density and top up if necessary

Remove the vehicle from the ramp.

Refitting

Check the condition of the supply reservoir.

Fit the supply reservoir tightening the fixing bolts.

Connect the two engine cooling supply reservoir pipes.

- 0010T21 coolant check density and top up if necessary

Remove the vehicle from the lift.
