Engine cooling radiator - r + r

Operation 1088B20 · ENGINE COOLING RADIATOR

1.2 16v

Removing

Place the car on a ramp.

- 5530B56 BATTERY DRIP TRAY COVER - R.R..

Disconnect the battery negative terminal.

- 7055B54 under-engine guard - r r.

- 7055B42 Additional FRONT WHEEL ARCH (one), left or right - R.R..

Fit a suitable container for coolant recovery.

1. Remove the band (1a) securing the hose (1b) and disconnect it, radiator side.

1.4 16v

Removing

Place the car on a lift.

- 5530B56 BATTERY DRIP TRAY COVER - R.R..

Disconnect the battery negative terminal.

- 7055B54 under-engine guard - r r

Position a suitable container to collect the coolant.

1. Remove the band (1a) securing the hose (1b) and disconnect it, radiator side.

1.6 16v

Removing

Place the vehicle on a ramp.

- 4450B10 Front WHEEL (one) - R.R.

- 7055B54 under-engine guard - r r

- 7055B42 Additional FRONT WHEEL ARCH (one), left or right - R.R.

1. Disconnect the lower coolant inlet hose from the radiator, radiator side.

To disconnect the hose, press the springs manually and remove the rapid attachment.

Collect the coolant in a suitable container.

2.4 20v

Removing

Position the vehicle on the ramp.

- 5530B56 BATTERY DRIP TRAY COVER - R.R.

- 5530B52 Battery DRIP TRAY/SUPPORT - R.R.

1. Disconnect the coolant top hose from the radiator and drain the cooling system.

Manually press the springs and remove the hose's rapid attachment.

Recover the coolant using a suitable container.

1.2 16v

1. Remove the bands (1a) securing the hose (1b) and pipe (1c).

1.4 16v

1. Open retaining band (1a) and disconnect sleeve (1b) on the radiator.

1.6 16v

1. Release the retaining clips and disconnect the upper coolant inlet hose to the radiator, radiator side.

2.4 20v

- 7055B42 Additional FRONT WHEEL ARCH (one), left or right - R.R.

1. Disconnect the coolant bottom hose from the radiator and drain the remaining coolant.

Manually press the springs and remove the hose's rapid attachment.

Recover the coolant using a suitable container.

1.2 16v

1. Undo the bolts (1a) securing the crossmember (1b).

1.4 16v

1. Undo the bolts (1a) securing the crossmember (1b).

1.6 16v

1. Undo the bolts (1a) and remove the radiator supporting crossmember (1b).

2.4 20v

1. Undo the bolts securing the radiator supporting crossmember.

2. Lower the crossmember and withdraw the radiator from its seating.

1. Remove the radiator.

1.4 16v

1. Remove the radiator

1.6 16v

1. Withdraw the radiator by disengaging it from the top locking pins.

2.4 20v

Refitting

Fit the radiator complete with crossmember in its seating.

Tighten the bolts securing the radiator supporting crossmember to the front end.

- 7055B42 Additional FRONT WHEEL ARCH (one), left or right - R.R.

Connect the coolant top and bottom hoses to the radiator.

- 5530B52 Battery DRIP TRAY/SUPPORT - R.R.

- 5530B56 BATTERY DRIP TRAY COVER - R.R.

- 0010T20 coolant change.

Remove the car from the ramp.

1.2 16v

Refitting

Fit the radiator in its seating.

Connect the inlet / outlet coolant pipes and secure them using the bands.

- 7055B42 Additional FRONT WHEEL ARCH (one), left or right - R.R.

- 7055B54 under-engine guard - r r

- 1048A10 air cleaner filtering element - replace.

Connect the negative battery terminal and remove the vehicle from the lift.

- 5530B56 BATTERY DRIP TRAY COVER - R.R..

- 0010T20 coolant change.

1.4 16v

Refitting

Fit the radiator in its seat, then tighten the bolts to the crossmember.

Connect the inlet / outlet coolant pipes and secure them using the bands.

Connect the battery negative terminal.

- 5530B56 BATTERY DRIP TRAY COVER - R.R.

- 0010T20 coolant change

- 7055B54 under-engine guard - r r

Remove the car from the ramps.

1.6 16v

Refitting

Refit the radiator in its seating and engage the top locking pins.

Fit the radiator supporting crossmember and tighten the bolts to the specified torque.

Connect the upper coolant inlet hose to the radiator, radiator side.

Connect the lower coolant outlet hose from the radiator, radiator side.

- 7055B54 under-engine guard - r r

- 4450B10 Front WHEEL (one) - R.R.

Remove the car from the ramp.
