Removing

- 5530B56 BATTERY DRIP TRAY COVER - R.R..

Disconnect the battery negative terminal.

- 1048A10 air cleaner filtering element - replace

1. Disconnect the electric fan connection and position the wiring to one side.

2. Undo the fixing bolt (2a) and remove the engine fan (2b), turning it in the direction of the arrow.

Removing

- 5530B56 BATTERY DRIP TRAY COVER - R.R..

Disconnect the battery negative terminal.

- 1048A10 air cleaner filtering element - replace

1. Disconnect the electric fan connection and position the wiring to one side

2. Undo the fixing bolt (2a) and remove the engine fan (2b), turning it in the direction of the arrow.

Removing

Place the vehicle on a ramp.

- 5530B56 BATTERY DRIP TRAY COVER - R.R.

Disconnect the battery negative terminal.

- 7055B54 under-engine guard - r r

1. Undo the locking bolt.

2. Disconnect the radiator fan electrical connection and release the wiring from the retainers.

3. Turn the radiator fan anti-clockwise to disengage it and remove it.

Removing

- 5530B56 BATTERY DRIP TRAY COVER - R.R.

Disconnect the battery negative terminal.

- 5530B52 Battery DRIP TRAY/SUPPORT - R.R.

- 1016A10 sound-proofing cover - r + r

- 1048A28 vacuum air circuit resonator pipe - r+r

- 1048A23 cold air intake - r r

- 1048A10 air cleaner filtering element - replace

Disconnect the fan's electrical connection.

1. Unscrew the retaining bolts.

2. Remove the fan.

2.4 20v

Removing

Place the car on a ramp.

- 5530B56 BATTERY DRIP TRAY COVER - R.R..

Disconnect the battery negative terminal.

- 1016A40 ignition coil cover on cylinder head- r+r

1. Withdraw the retaining bolt.

Disconnect the electrical connection for the fan.

- 7055B54 under-engine guard - r r.

Raise the lift.

2. Turn the fan anti-clockwise and release it from its seating, then remove it from the bottom of the engine compartment.

1.9 JTD 8v

Removing

Place the car on a ramp.

Disconnect the battery negative terminal.

- 7055B54 under-engine guard - r r.

Lower the lift.

Release the radiator bottom pipe from the bands.

1. Undo the fixing nuts (1a) and remove the metal protection (1b) for the fan motor.

2. Release the electrical wiring from the attachments and disconnect the fan's electrical connection.

1.9 JTD 16v

Removing

Disconnect the battery negative terminal.

- 7055B54 under-engine guard - r r.

1. Release the electrical wiring from the bands (1a) and disconnect the electrical connections for the fan (1b) and the engine fan adjustment resistance (1c).

1.2 16v

Refitting

1. Fit the fan (1) in its seating, turning it in the direction of the arrow and secure it with its fixing bolt.

1.4 16v

Refitting

1. Fit the fan (1) in its seating, turning it in the direction of the arrow and secure it with its fixing bolt.

1.6 16v

Refitting

Refit the radiator fan in its seating and lock it by turning it clockwise.

Tighten the locking bolt.

Fit the wiring and reconnect the radiator fan's electrical connection.

Connect the battery's negative terminal.

Remove the car from the ramp.

Refitting

Fit the fan and tighten the fixing bolts.

Connect the fan's electrical connection.

- 1048A10 air cleaner filtering element - replace

- 1048A23 cold air intake - r r

- 1048A28 vacuum air circuit resonator pipe - r+r

- 1016A10 sound-proofing cover - r + r

- 5530B52 Battery DRIP TRAY/SUPPORT - R.R.

Connect the battery negative terminal.

- 5530B56 BATTERY DRIP TRAY COVER - R.R.

2.4 20v

Refitting

Fit the complete radiator cooling fan by turning it clockwise in its seating.

- 7055B54 under-engine guard - r r.

Lower the lift.

Tighten the bolt.

Connect the fan electrical connections.

- 1016A40 ignition coil cover on cylinder head- r+r

Disconnect the battery negative terminal.

- 5530B56 BATTERY DRIP TRAY COVER - R.R..

Remove the car from the ramp.

1.9 JTD 8v

1. Withdraw the retaining bolt.

Raise the lift.

2. Turn the fan anti-clockwise and release it from its seating, then remove it from the bottom of the engine compartment.

1.9 JTD 16v

1. Undo the fixing bolts (1a) and remove the engine fan adjustment resistance complete with support.

1.2 16v

Connect the fan's electrical connection.

- 1048A10 air cleaner filtering element - replace

Connect the battery negative terminal.

Connect the fan's electrical connection.

- 1048A10 air cleaner filtering element - replace

Connect the battery negative terminal.

- 5530B56 BATTERY DRIP TRAY COVER - R.R..

Refitting

Fit the complete radiator cooling fan by turning it clockwise in its seating.

Lower the lift.

Tighten the bolt.

Secure the electrical wiring on the attachments and connect the fan's electrical connection.

Fit the metal protection for the fan motor and tighten the fixing bolts.

Secure the radiator bottom pipe to the bands.

Raise the lift.

- 7055B54 under-engine guard - r r.

Lower the lift.

Disconnect the battery negative terminal.

- 5530B56 BATTERY DRIP TRAY COVER - R.R..

Remove the car from the ramp.

1.9 JTD 16v

1. Undo retaining bolts

2. Rotate the fan in an anti-clockwise direction releasing it from the housing and remove it.

Refitting

Fit the complete radiator cooling fan by turning it clockwise in its seating.

Tighten the retaining bolt.

Fit the engine fan adjustment resistance complete with support and tighten the fixing bolts.

Secure the electrical wiring to the fastenings and connect the electrical connections for the fan and for the engine fan adjustment resistance.

Secure the radiator bottom pipe to the bands.

Connect the battery negative terminal.
