OIL FILTER

Service repair no - 12.60.04

Remove

1. Raise front of vehicle.

WARNING: Support on safety stands.

2. Remove oil pump acoustic cover. See this section.

3. Remove foam sleeve from oil filter.
4. Clean area around filter head and place a container beneath engine
5. Using a strap wrench, unscrew and discard filter.

Refit

1. Clean mating face of filter head.
2. Lubricate sealing ring of NEW filter with clean engine oil.
3. Fit NEW filter and tighten by hand until it seats then tighten a further half turn.
4. Add 0.5 litre of Diesel engine oil to sump.
5. Start and run engine and check for leaks.
6. Stop engine and fit foam sleeve to oil filter.
7. Fit oil pump acoustic cover. See this section.
8. Remove stand(s) and lower vehicle.
9. Check engine oil level, top-up if necessary.
