OIL PRESSURE SWITCH

Service repair no - 12.60.50

Remove

  1. Disconnect battery earth lead.
  2. Position drain tin below engine oil filter.
Oil pressure switch – Position drain tin below engine oil filter.
  1. Disconnect multiplug from oil pressure switch.
  2. Remove oil pressure switch.

Refit

  1. Clean oil pressure switch threads.
  2. Fit oil pressure switch and tighten to 12 Nm.
  3. Connect multiplug to oil pressure switch.
  4. Top-up engine oil.
  5. Connect battery earth lead.

OIL PRESSURE RELIEF VALVE

Service repair no - 12.60.56

Remove

  1. Remove drive belt tensioner. See ELECTRICAL, Repairs.
Oil pressure relief valve – Remove drive belt tensioner. See ELECTRICAL, Repairs.
  1. Remove plug nut from relief valve.
  2. Remove spring and valve.

Refit

  1. Clean valve, spring and nut.
  2. Clean valve seating inside oil pump.
  3. Lubricate valve and seating.
  4. Fit valve and spring to pump.
  5. Fit valve, spring and cap to pump housing.
  6. Apply Loctite 542 sealant to nut thread.
  7. Fit plug nut and tighten to 25 Nm.
  8. Fit drive belt tensioner. See ELECTRICAL, Repairs.
  9. Top-up engine oil.
