PURGE CONTROL VALVE – CATALYST EQUIPPED ENGINE

Service Repair No. 17.15.39

Remove

  1. Disconnect battery earth lead.
Figure
  1. Disconnect valve multiplug.
  2. Release multiplug from bracket.
  3. Disconnect 2 hoses from valve.
  4. Remove valve from bracket.
  5. Remove filter from valve.

Refit

  1. Fit filter to valve and fit valve to bracket.
  2. Connect 2 hoses.
  3. Secure multiplug to bracket and connect multiplug.
  4. Connect battery earth lead.

DISTRIBUTOR – D.O.H.C.

Service Repair No. 18.20.20

Remove

  1. Disconnect battery earth lead.

  1. Disconnect 4 h.t. leads from cap, noting lead positions.
  2. Release 2 multiplugs from clips.
  3. Disconnect multiplugs.
  4. Catalyst equipped engine only: Remove tamper proof cap from distributor top securing screw.
  5. Remove 3 screws securing distributor.
  6. Remove distributor.
