Fault finding
The control unit of the multi-function steering wheel is only connected to the control unit of the steering column electronics. Here the following data commands are processed for maintaining connection to the connected control units (radio, multifunction display „MFA“ and telephone system).
The multi-function steering wheel is capable of self diagnosis.
For maintenance work or fault-finding, use: → vehicle diagnosis, testing and information systemsVAS 5051A or the Vehicle diagnosis and service information systemVAS 5052B, function „Guided fault finding“, → Current flow diagrams, Electrical fault finding and Fitting locations.
