ACTIVE DIAGNOSIS

During a diagnosis session, the BC may be asked to carry out a diagnostic check on the external modules: the BC then sends the appropriate command and communicates the result to the diagnostic instrument.

If, during this operation, the BC does not manage to communicate with the module, the response to the diagnostic instrument will be:

  • interference on serial line
  • module does not respond

Similarly a diagnostic check on the serial line may be requested, which may have the following results: OK, short circuit to earth, short circuit to battery.

It is also possible to read the table relating to the alarm causes memorised in the BC.
