DIAGNOSIS OF EXTERNAL MODULES
The BC conducts a diagnosis on the serial line connecting to the siren and external modules, checking whether there is a short circuit to earth or to the battery or an open circuit.
The diagnostic check on the serial line is carried out at the time when the communication is activated, typically when the alarm system is switched on.
The diagnosis on the external modules is carried out when the system is switched on, by means of the diagnostic commands from which the following information is obtained:
There are no diagnostic checks on the perimetral protection switches.
Siren:
- not working (sound transducer faulty)
- already on (misalignment between BC and siren)
- does not respond (communication with siren not possible - serial line broken)
Ultrasound module:
- not working
- does not respond (communication with module not possible - serial line broken)
Anti-tilt module (if present):
- not working
- out of range (fitted incorrectly)
- does not respond (communication with module not possible - serial line broken)
The diagnostic information obtained at the time of switching on is memorised in EEPROM to ensure that system repairs can be carried out.
To carry out diagnosis, use the diagnostic equipment supplied.
