REARSCREEN WASH/WIPE DESCRIPTION

2.0 16V JTD, 2.2 16V JTD · MY 2005

The rearscreen wiper is activated by turning the ring nut on the end of the lever on the right of the steering wheel.

The operation of the rearscreen wiper motor is controlled intermittently by the electronic device that also manages the windscreen wash/wipe function.

The rear window washer function is activated by pressing the above stalk slightly towards the steering wheel.

This function is achieved with the (two-way) windscreen washer pump: except it is made to turn in the opposite direction to send washer fluid to the rear of the vehicle.

Once the rear wiper is activated, an extra sweep is made when the rear window washer control ceases.

When reverse is engaged with the windscreen wiper operating, the rear wiper is operated automatically.
