  1. Disconnect multiplug from evaporative emission canister purge valve.

  1. Disconnect engine harness multiplug from main harness.
  2. Release engine harness multiplug from bracket on body.
  3. Remove exhaust front pipe. See MANIFOLD & EXHAUST SYSTEMS, Repairs.
  4. Select reverse gear.

  1. Using a suitable punch, drive out roll pin securing selector rod to selector shaft.
  2. Release selector rod from shaft.
  3. Select neutral.
  4. Remove nut and bolt securing gear change steady bar to gearbox.

  1. Using tool 18G 1240 release drive shafts from differential housing.
  2. Remove both front road wheels.
  3. Raise one side of front suspension using a jack positioned beneath lower suspension arm.
