  1. Remove split pin from steering arm ball joint nut.
  2. Remove nut from ball joint, break taper joint using tool 18G 1063A and release joint from steering arm.

  1. Remove lower ball joint nut.
  2. Break taper joint using tool 18G 2 and release knuckle from lower arm.

CAUTION: Do not damage ball joint boot.

Break taper joint using tool 18G 2 and release knuckle from lower arm.
  1. Release drive shaft from gearbox using tool 18G 1761.
  2. Turn steering on RH lock and disconnect drive shaft from differential.
  3. Remove and discard circlip from end of drive shaft.
  4. Carefully prise out oil seal from differential housing. Retain seal removed for reference.
