COMBINED SCREEN WASH AND WIPER SWITCH

Service repair no - 84.15.34

WARNING: SRS procedures must be followed and ALL precautions observed. See RESTRAINT SYSTEMS, Precautions.

Remove

  1. Remove steering wheel. See STEERING, Repairs.
Combined screen wash and wiper switch – Remove steering wheel. See STEERING, Repairs.
  1. Release 4 turnbuckles securing fuse box cover and remove cover.
Combined screen wash and wiper switch – Release 4 turnbuckles securing fuse box cover and remove cover.
  1. Remove 3 screws securing lower half of steering column cowl.
  2. Separate and remove 2 halves of cowl.

CAUTION: Ensure road wheels are straight ahead.

  1. Place a piece of adhesive tape around rotary coupling moulding to prevent rotation.

  1. Release 2 clips securing rotary coupler to column switch and release rotary coupler.

CAUTION: Do not allow rotary coupler to hang on its harness.
