ANCILLARY DRIVE BELT ADJUST - DIESEL

Service repair no - 86.10.05

Release tension

Release tension – Service repair no - 86.10.05
  1. Remove engine acoustic cover.
  2. Disconnect battery earth lead.
Release tension – Disconnect battery earth lead.
  1. Fit tool 18G 1614 to power steering pump bracket.
  2. Raise tensioner.
  3. Loosen nut on tensioner pulley.

NOTE: Note position of tensioner pulley if original drive belt is to be fitted.

  1. Rotate tensioner pulley to its uppermost position.
  2. Release belt from tensioner pulley.
  3. Release tensioner and remove tool 18G 1614.

Adjust tension

Adjust tension – Release tensioner and remove tool 18G 1614.
  1. Fit tool 18G 1614 to power steering pump bracket.
  2. Raise tensioner.
