INSTRUMENT PANEL

Service repair no - 88.20.01

WARNING: SRS procedures must be followed and ALL precautions observed. See RESTRAINT SYSTEMS, Precautions.

Remove

  1. Remove instrument cowl. See this section.
Instrument panel – Remove instrument cowl. See this section.
  1. Release 4 turnbuckles securing fuse box cover and remove cover.
Instrument panel – Release 4 turnbuckles securing fuse box cover and remove cover.
  1. Remove 3 screws securing lower half of steering column cowl.
  2. Separate and remove 2 halves of cowl.
Instrument panel – Separate and remove 2 halves of cowl.
  1. Remove 4 screws securing instrument panel.
  2. Ease instrument panel from fascia.
Instrument panel – Ease instrument panel from fascia.
  1. Disconnect earth lead Lucar from instrument panel.
  2. Disconnect 3 multiplugs from instrument panel.
  3. Disconnect SRS harness multiplug from instrument panel.
  4. Remove instrument panel from fascia.

Refit

  1. Position instrument panel and connect multiplugs.

CAUTION: Ensure SRS harness connector is correctly engaged.

  1. Connect earth lead Lucar.
  2. Align instrument panel to fascia and fit and tighten screws.
  3. Fit steering column cowl and tighten screws.
  4. Fit fusebox cover and secure turnbuckles.
  5. Fit instrument cowl. See this section.
