  1. Break taper joint using tool 18G 1584.
  2. Disconnect track rod end from front hub.
Disconnect track rod end from front hub.
  1. Remove bolt securing brake hose to front damper.
  2. Remove 2 bolts and collect washers securing brake caliper to front hub.
  3. Release brake caliper from front hub and tie aside.

CAUTION: Do not allow caliper to hang on brake hose.

  1. Mark relationship of brake disc and front hub for refitment.
  2. Remove 2 screws securing brake disc to front hub.
  3. Remove brake disc from front hub.
  4. Remove and discard split pin from castellated nut securing front hub to lower arm.
  5. Loosen castellated nut securing front hub to lower arm, until flush with the end of the joint. If necessary, apply penetrating oil to joint.

  1. Break taper joint using tool 18G 1584 .

CAUTION: Be careful not to damage the rubber boot on lower ball joint.

  1. Remove nut from lower ball joint and release lower arm from front hub.
  2. Remove pinch bolt securing front hub to damper.
  3. Remove front hub assembly.
