  1. Remove fusebox cover.
  2. Remove fuse cover plate.
  3. Remove screw, battery lead to fusebox and release lead. Refit screw.

  1. Remove bolt, engine earth lead to bonnet lock platform.
  2. Remove starter motor, see ELECTRICAL – Repairs.

  1. Position absorbent cloth around sealing bolt. Slacken bolt to relieve fuel pressure. Retighten bolt to 12 Nm.
  2. Unscrew banjo bolt, disconnect fuel outlet pipe from filter and collect 2 sealing washers.

CAUTION: Plug the connections.

  1. Remove distributor, see ENGINE MANAGEMENT SYSTEM PGM – Fi – Repairs.

  1. Slacken throttle cable locknut.
  2. Release throttle cable from bracket and throttle linkage.

  1. Release throttle cable from 3 retaining clips.
