  1. Remove 2 bolts securing lower tie rod bracket to gearbox.
  2. Remove bolt securing lower tie rod to sub – frame.
  3. Remove tie rod and bracket.
  4. Remove oil filter element, see MAINTENANCE.

  1. Remove 4 screws securing spark plug cover and remove cover.
  2. Remove 2 bolts securing spark plug lead retaining plate.
  3. Disconnect H.T. leads from spark plugs, move leads aside.

  1. Using 2 bolts from tool 18G 1644, attach tool to spark plug cover bolt holes in cylinder head. Tighten bolts.
  2. Attach engine lifting tool 18G 1598 to tool 18G 1644 and connect lifting chain of hoist.
  3. Raise hoist to just support weight of engine.

  1. Remove bolt securing engine front mounting bracket to mounting rubber.
