Service Repair No. 19.45.06

Remove

  1. Disconnect battery earth lead.

  1. Position absorbent cloth around union. Slacken union to relieve fuel pressure. Retighten union to 38 Nm.
  1. Disconnect vacuum hose from pressure regulator.
  2. Release clip and disconnect fuel hose from pressure regulator.

CAUTION: Plug the connections.

  1. T16 only: Remove 4 bolts securing fuel rail support bracket to fuel rail and manifold, remove support bracket.
  2. K16 only: Remove 2 bolts securing pressure regulator.
  3. Remove pressure regulator.
  4. Remove 'O' ring and spacer, discard 'O' ring.

Refit

  1. Clean pressure regulator, spacer and mating surfaces.
  2. Fit spacer to pressure regulator.
  3. Lubricate and fit new 'O' ring to pressure regulator.
  4. Fit pressure regulator.
  5. T16 only: Fit support bracket to fuel rail and manifold, tighten bolts to 10 Nm.
  6. Remove plugs, connect fuel hose to regulator and secure with clip.
  7. Fit vacuum hose to pressure regulator.
  8. Connect battery earth lead.
