Transmission Fluid Level InspectionRemoval Procedure

| 1. | Raise vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle . |
| 2. | Place basin underneath. |
| 3. | Clean away all dirt and debris from transmission case plug area. |
Note: Discard case plug. |
| 4. | Remove transmission case plug (1). |
| 5. | Add transmission fluid until it seeps out of plug hole. For transmission fluid specifications refer to Manual Transmission Specifications . |
Installation Procedure
Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution . |
| 1. | Install NEW transmission case plug (1) and tighten to 4 N·m+ 45°-135° (35 lb in+ 45°-135°) . |
| 2. | Lower vehicle. |
